Your role at UIQ Technology
I work as an Operator Requirements Analyst at Product Management.
How long have you been with UIQ Technology and what have you worked with over the time?
I started as a consultant in the winter of 2005 and I participated in a developer group creating the first demo based UIQ 3.0 platform, for the 3GSM World Congress. In the summer of 2005 I returned as Test Engineer at Product Verification, which was a role that gave me a broader knowledge of the whole UI and applications functionality. One year later I applied for the role of Operator Requirements Analyst at Product Management.
What made you want to work for UIQ Technology?
I had several reasons:
1. I wanted to broaden my career on telecommunications systems development, since my previous developing experience was for fixed telephony and networking.
2. To get the opportunity of changing roles and meet new challenges.
3. The open and friendly work environment I experience at this company.

Your role at UIQ Technology
I work as a System Architect in the System Design department.
How long have you been with UIQ Technology and what have you worked with over the time?
I started off as a software engineer in the Communications team more than six years ago, working mainly with the Messaging application, but also with other Communications related things, for example IR and Bluetooth. After two years I was promoted to the position of Technical Lead for the UIQ 3.0 project. I worked in that project for about three years. Since I wanted to travel and also work closer with the customer, I applied for a position in Professional Services to support customers in various areas. I had the opportunity to get different assignments around the world, like in the US, Japan and the UK. I started to go to Birmingham bi-weekly to finally move there for about four months to support Motorola full-time. After some years on the road I am now a System Architect in the System Design team.
